Albar has a large experience of ClearQuest, in customisation development, tool administration and data migration.

In addition to the tool (CQFD), some utilities has been developed in house, then packaged and offered by Albar:

• a Perl hook externalisation script (PeHeX, for Perl Hook eXtractor)
• management of permissions on transitions at the database level
• management of permissions on fields at the database level
• automatic query generation

Albar also offers consulting services around ClearQuest.

All scripts, including hooks, are exclusively developed in Perl language. The portability, the universality of this language regarding VisualBasic are the main reasons of this choice.
